the most "logical theory" i've read thus far online (in regards to the body-armor of the duo) is that they are primarily moulded slip-ons (ie; the armor is a / or a few singular seamless-pieces, rather than multiple layers of pieces) - which stands to reason, becoz they look too impeccably fit-snug to be separate-pieces anyways, IMHO - which frankly, doesn't really bother me as much, if i intend to have the figure stand and pose AS-IS, but would be quite disappointing if (ever) i wanted to kitbash a squad (HAH) of soldiers from the armor tho ... but tis all 'speculation' at this point :p
meanwhile, SideShowToys has listed pre-orders for both Denuan (US$150) and Briareos (US$200) - with both slated for a 1st-qtr 2008-drop ... which is quite a bit of difference compared to Hot Toys Japan [read press release here] @ 19,800YEN / US$174 and 24,800YEN / US$218-respectively ... quite a bit of spare change nevertheless, as pretty as Yulli's sculpt for Denuan is, IMHO (image below) ... altho there's still the rumor of a potiential Takara-made 1/6th Denuan in the works (image-above-right / not that there'll be much difference in price points anyways :p)
